Intercooler upgrade Vito w639

Has any one upgraded the intercooler on a vito?

Is there anything to be had in terms of performance and/or reliability?

Spent a long time searching this but couldn't come up with any kind of answer

Currently got a Vito w639 109cdi remapped to 168hp and planning to put some kind of high flow/decat exhaust on it. Wondered if an upgraded intercooler would be worth it?

As an aside you know the 109 has a higher back axle ratio than the 111 and 115? So it revs higher for any given speed ... helps the acceleration I guess but not so good for fuel consumption.

I would doubt anyone has done the kind of mods you are talking about on a 109, but you never know. Good luck anyway

yeah dude its final drive is different. Only slightly Annoying on motorways

and actually on further investigation the intercooler should be good for up to 200bhp from what I can tell

I've recently put a stage 3 hybrid turbo on my w639 with a mishimoto FMIC

Not long blanked the EGR however believe my cat is blocked.
