iPhone and COMAND online

I bought a CLS Shooting Brake in November. The iPhone works perfectly well as a phone but it will not connect to COMAND online services. My dealer has no idea whether Mercedes are working on compatability or not, does anybody know what Mercedes' intentions are or whether there is a fix for this issue?

This has been an ongoing issue with Mercedes for a while now and I don't believe they are working on a fix other than bringing new models in with the capability i.e. the new A class

Pretty poor considering other manufacturers have managed it fine.

I am not aware of any manufacturer that has a system that uses the data connection of an iPhone (which is what is missing here).

This is an Apple limitation not a car manufacturer.
