Ipod connection

Friend has a 2006 1.8K Coupe just like mine, he is away to trade, question; if I removed his ipod lead, can I plug it into my car or is there some sort of wiring wizardry required?

Assuming your friend doesnt mind you removing his ipod connection and that your car is a similar type thenyes you could remove his ipod interface and install it in your car. It requires that you pull out the head unit though.

Yes both cars are identical, I hadn’t reckoned it would fit on the rear of the CD head unit though, hmmm he’s real fussy with his motor and might not be so keen to remove that much, I had just wondered if it was a simple lead that clipped into a socket behind the glove box or something simple.

There is a small control unit and wiring loom too. If your not sure on what your doing I would suggest just leave it because you could do more harm than good.
