I now have the new E Class with comand online with the thee cables in the center armrest when i plug the same ipod in I can only control the volume, and next /previous track, anyone else have this ??:wallbash:

If you mean for the online services via your iPhones data connection, it doesn't work and never will.

The new incoming systems will be compatible but this is of no help to owners of existing cars as the technology is not something that can be retro fitted easily.

I don't know if this helps but I tried to use the same cable to connect the iPod that I had in my previous W204 (connection was in the glove box) in the new 2012 W204 (connection now in the centre armrest) and it didn't work despite there seeming to be no difference. I had to use the cable that came with the car...

Which wire works on iPod for w204 2007

Just noticed your post is there a wire that I could use to plug and play iPod on my 57 plate w204 from the armrest port?

Yours should be in the glovebox, well it was on my 57 c class.

Paul,

I agree with Swaziboy's comment above. Have a 2010 W204 myself and it has media interface but no cables were with the vehicle. I checked out which were the right ones and bought them on e-bay. I was sent the wrong ones - for a 2012 W204. They were marked MI-2 and i-phone cable did not work (the other two did work). The supplier then sent me the right ones which provide full integration for iPhone/ipod.

This link may help you identify the cables you need: http://http://www.lookersshop.mercedes-benz.co.uk/pub/files/Downloads/1343053938_Media_Kabel_010712_To_300912.pdf

I took the car to my local dealer, they had a look and it turns out that I cannot connect mine to play music. The only option was to buy a cradle to connect the iphone 4s which i didnt need as i can connect via bluetooth.

I ended up buying a PCMCIA card and a 4 gb flash drive and now I have transferred all of my music over so I'm happy!

Hi I have a c320 w204 08 plate, I'm trying to connect my ipod via Bluetooth but it can't find the car. My iphone works fine but I want my music on, it won't even transfer off my phone, I have an aux in the glove box and it works but volume is low,
Anyone have any ideas?
