I saw a floating car in front of my E30 Touring on the Edinburgh by-pass some years ago.

The water was just below the door handles and my car was never the same again.

I saw a few cars parked in Weymouth up to the door handles due to a high spring tide.

That depth of salt water just has to be a problem.

You're right, I didn't check the street name on a map so didn't realise it's the usual suspect in Richmond. Teddington was mentioned in first post so I thought there's similar spot in Teddington.

I will try to dig out old picture taken a few years ago, car was in the middle of the river already.
