As someone who has worked through agencies for the last 16 years, I can't feel very sympathetic. We do well in the good times, we suffer in the lean times; anyone who doesn't agree with the rules of the game shouldn't play.
If they haven't seen which way the wind's been blowing & haven't got reserves stashed away to live on then they have only themselves to blame. Harsh but true.
btw- I'll probably be out of work by Xmas too. I'll find alternative work (even if only sweeping the streets, etc) or live off what I've put by for exactly these circumstances.
