Nope. There were only ever petrol versions, and only one 4cyl or 6cyl version at any time.

Petrol only in 2.2 (16v), 2.3 (8v), 3.0 (12 & 24v), 3.2 (24v) & 3.6 (24v).
There were also a few 6.0 (32v) AMGs built but not sure if any made it into the UK. (If anyone has a RHD 6.0 let me know and name your price!)

saw a 124 coupe today with a v12 badge on it ??? in great missenden, bucks, black iirc
