Just how much respect?

Trouble with WD40 is it leaves a residue, I did this on my new double glazing once and I was trying to clear the smears off the glass forever!! lol At least nail varnish remover is an astringent so it cleans off completely afterwards...

Vineager, the world's best tonic for anything will clean smears that are left.

Oh, sorry to hear about the exterior. Why is it that people have to deface, clearly through jealousy, most annoying  .

Is there a reputable dealer/garage to carry out work where you are should you need it that can obtain original parts? Do hope so.

Perhaps you should start a poll for names?

My estate is bornite berry, lovingly called the purple beast, my b/f's is beryl blue - so she is cherishingly called the aqua princess (I've rearranged the front over the weekend - well the bumper on the nearside  ) but she still looks glorious on her good side!

Actually the defacing is criminal. If it can easily be removed, it will be and sold second hand. Hopefully I'll get some snaps done this weekend to show you how the car's protected.

I found out that there're 2 Bosch suppliers here - one of whom has a workshop. There's also an official MB dealer but, as with you guys, its more of a stealer than dealer. Will need them for my spare key so I have to be nice. Good indie garages around as well so no worries on that front. My sister's aren't so lucky - one has an Audi A4 and the other a LR Freelander. More limited options around. Spare key for the Audi requires a trip to Nairobi, Kenya

I dug up this thread on car pet names. Please add yours... Read about your upsetting weekend 'rearrangement'. Thank goodness he didn't get mad. :bannana:

I wouldn't put nail varnish remover near it - instead go for WD40 - much safer option and it works ;)

Well seeing that I have one full sticker left, I'll try these and let you know about speed and residues :D Hope apple cider counts as strong enough vinegar

Good luck! :D

Looking Very nice...! Congratulations...! :)

I remember getting a ' jealousy " stripe on a 11 year old Range Rover ( before the day of tree hugging morons ). At the time, the vehicle was cheaper than a bog standard Escort or Vectra.
