is it a panel filter? or cone convertion?
They are just like the original ones and fit inside the air filter housing.. Im not convinced they offer anything...

it may be a little louder as sthere not as fine but i shouldnt think you will notice a big differance
not really noticeable in a W126 as its using the original filter hosuing which insulates any sound improvement.
