Hello

As nice and rare as it is, its time for a change I would think? 10K is TOO good an offer to miss as I doubt they are going UP in price?

Swap it for something else.

I like the V6 Clios (or rather the look of them...I've heared they are a bit hectic) or a Lotus Elise especially now for summer.

So yep its been a good car for you but time for change, if you don't sell it for 10k now I doubt you will get any more.

I've driven/Sold one of these years ago, and whilst nice, not a great deal better to drive than a standard 1.7 IMO. 10K sounds like a fantastic shout, grab the folding and out the door!!

I'd sell it too.

It's overbook and is in as good condition as it's likely to be.

Deal Done

Deal Done at £10k he would not haggle (cant blame him!) now need to get the private plate off it so looks like fun at my local DVLA Office tomorrow. Does anyone know if they will put it back on its original reg over the counter? I can wait until they sort out the retention certificate.

Now the trauma really starts finding SWMBO a new car, so tonight its a nice bottle of merlot and wade through autotrader,

Thanks for all the great advice very much appreciated

Ian

so, 95+% here say sell it; what did the poll result state on the Ford Puma forum?

Exactly the opposite of this forum, but to be fair on both the Puma & Subaru forums I use there is a lot of C**p talked usually by people that have not got a clue what they are on about.

Thats why I enjoy this forum so much usually good unbiased opinion from fellow professionals and although we do have some heated debates we all remain friends, you would not believe the feuds on the other forums.

I'd love to know who the 2 on here were that said keep it and their reasons though, just out of curiosity

Good man well done!. Couldn't think of a better way to spend the evening (almost)

I'd have ripped his arm right off there and then!!!

Will

Seems pretty 'armless to me..:D

Selling is a no brainer IMHO...I would have ripped his legs off too...

Mind you it stumps me as to why he wants to pay over price....or even offer you a price without asking what you wanted for it first....

They are getting rarer 500 were built only 279 left, out of the 500 built not sure how many were built in full RS spec like ours but I have only ever seen 1 other one and that was in London also not sure how many of those are left.

I suppose if you are a Puma nut then this is the holy grail,

Must admit very reliable car never put a spanner on it apart from routine maintenance in 5 years, except for a battery and of course that had to go when I was driving it

i would ask the guy for 12k and say the wife loves it and would rather keep it! i bet he would go for it

I tried to haggle after the other posts on trying to get a bit more, I tried 10k + paint bill but he was having none of it, one offer on the table take it or leave it, so I took it :D

Well done. Roll on the next thread.
