Knocking on steering on new GLC

Seems like every GLC has this clunking as standard in the PURCHASE AGREEMENT. Changing tyres does not solve the problem.
Wet road surface - no noise.

Coming from c43 Coupe 2017 with the same problem (18' Dunlop Sport Maxx). Being told by dealership this being a "feature" in my car that cannot be fixed and I need to replace to winter tyres as the only solution to make the problem less perceivable. Loads of bu... Following some other posts on Merc forums I changed the tyres to Continental ContiSport Contact 5 SSR MOE. The problem is gone after that, and I mean it - completely gone 100%, be that rain, sun, wet surface, temperatures above 7 or below 7 degrees.
