Hi, I stupidly managed to lean on the top of the engine whilst doing another job & cracked the 'leak line' which joins the injectors & returns the unused diesel :(
not good as diesel leaking everywhere!

I have found the replacement part (item 71 on the diagram) as part number:
A 613 070 00 32 which is about £20 from stealer.
however, it says it has been replaced by:
A 648 070 08 32 which is about £114 !!!!
does anyone know the difference - as both are still available?
Perhaps the new one isn't a crappy, plastic, brittle plastic one!

cheers
Chris

PS - sorry had to copy someone elses picture as I don't know how to put links up

You used to be able to buy the individual 'T' piece parts, but mercedes, in their wisdom, later decided to supply only the complete rail, hence the 2 part numbers. (i think the new part is now 'metal', not plastic)

you can use standard fuel return hose £5 per half meter, with two stainless hose clamps

the pipe seems to be one continous thing - I can't see how it can be mended - item 71 on the diagramme above?

any competent mechanic should be able to do that for you. If you were near i would certainly do it for you. I have modified most of the crap plastic pipes on mine with proper
fuel line that is flexible and never goes brittle. I also have modified the inlet and return on the high pressure fuel pump, no plastic or rubber washers !! I will post some pics on the weekend.

He's broken the connector, not the pipe.

Thanks for that information Dieselman, slightly different approach then!
