LED Number Plate and Side Lights- Perfect On The W211

Hello....

Got these myself to replace the aged looking bulbs in my E-Class and thought I would share.

No Errors - Look fantastic and 1 Year Warranty, really impressed overall.

I can upload a few photos of them on mine if anyones interested....

I also got front sidelight LED's, again very impressed - match the factory Xenon's like they were made for the car.

Not blue. very crisp white again no errors - no flickering etc.

These LED's give the car a more modern look, facelift look even for a very reasonable price.

Excuse the seriously stupid looking front plate, the previous one got cracked by a large stone and this off my old Impreza was a temp fix until the real one arrives hopefully today!!

Trevor you should have asked me! I have some. And the matching sidelights. Would have sent them with the backbox if you told me you needed some.

Trouble with these, as KillerHERTZ pointed out to me, is that while they are great for number plates, they are useless on the inside of the car, cause you'll use the dimming/fade affect

That said, i'd like a couple for the rear number plate lights, however the ebay seller only accepts prey-pal as far as i can see, so no good to me, as i wont get one of those

So these wont fit pre CANBUS cars like mine which is a '94?

Basically NW Merc, these are great for cars (like the W211) that through up bulb failure errors after fitting LED bulbs.

If yours has no bulb failure system, you can go for "normal" LED bulbs (which are cheaper too) to replace your standard bulb if you are after the white look numberplate lighting that I wanted.

MOB - I'm not clued up on all Mercedes model numbers, but if yours has a bulb failure feature - and the bulbs are festoon 36mm, they are spot on.

Thanks for the pm'd offer for the sides mate, turned out I had LEDsides already.

Just put these on my rear plates though, and initial reactions are WOW

Did notice they were a lil loose fitting in the lens covers though unlike the original bulbs I took out, and needed facing just so and then pushing in to keet the shiny face facing out lol, but seem to fit in there fine once pushed in.

just a quick note, i bought somthing similar Mercedes LED Side Light 501 T10 HID no Canbus Warning E on eBay (end time 25-Apr-11 16:35:42 BST)

but they did not work in my R129 2001 SL320, the bulb failure light came up on the dash , they even sent out another set but same issue....

althought they worked ok in the 96 w202, but i dont think the sidelights are connected to the bulb failure light.

Anyone know where i can get the led sidelights for the sl?

I have the same ones, but the side lights look slightly blue, say 6000k.

Does anyone know where to get pure white to match the original O.E. 4300k xenon headlamps
