Hi,
I've just purchased some led number plate bulbs to replace the old type festoon bulbs.
The problem I have is after fitng, the LEDs flash. No matter what I have tried, they keep on flashing.
Do I need to buy a special sort of led for my e class ?
Thanks in anticipation.

could be canbus related ???

What did you find objectionable on the original lights that necessitated a change?

The impedance on them is too high. The bulb failure monitor has detected this and thinks the bulb has blown. It then applies a pulse every few seconds to check if a new bulb has been fitted - that is why it is flashing.
You need to either
Add some load resistors to 'fool' the system into thinking that the correct bulbs are fitted and working
Or
Fit some 'canbus compatible' leds.
My experience is they don't last long/change colour/give false warnings so I've reverted to incandescent bulbs.
