Some of you will know I sold up the c43 and my daily clk 430.
This car went up for sale out of the blue 8 miles from me....it was meant to be.

I've had it 6 weeks now ....just spent today giving the car a really good clean (outside)...inside is for another weekend.

Car has 75k and a FSH. 3 previous owner. It has a lovely spec too.
The car has had in the last 6k:

- gearbox service & diff oil changed
- upper arms, lower & upper balljoints
- Genuine discs and pads on all 4's
- a new generation key (it now has 3 keys)

So far I've done:

New valve cover gaskets & breathers resealed
New s/c Belt (MB)
New aux Belt (MB)
New MB coolant
A Service by my local specialist (Using MB filters and Mobil 1 oil)
New Bosch 010 IC Pump (waiting to be fitted)

The car is completely stock with the exception of the wheels which have been changed by a previous owner (they are gen wheels, believe off a CL63) and the after market grille (I have the original).

These photos were taken today after the big clean. Excuse my iphone photos

Lenny

The colour, wheels spec are all fantastic. Very pleased with it indeed.
I am having alignment issues currently as you know, hopefully they will be resolved after a visit to MB.

That looks stunning Lenny63, My favourite colour exterior and a lovely light interior to match, So many seem to have Black leather that i've seen.

Very nice :)

The interior i was sceptical about...but when I saw it in the flesh it was a perfect combo - the wood especially is stunning in the flesh and works well with the grey

like the color! nice find

Lovely car mate. Are the rear wheels too much in ? Do they need spacers? It seems the rear arches are dwarfing the wheels?

Very nice looking machine mate.

Nice... But the wheels look like a PITA to clean lol.

This type of wood looks very classy when it has this satin finish or matt finish. And when you touch it, it feels like wood. Gone are the days of shiny verneer finishes.

Agreed, looks very cool in this car.:thumb:

Very nice! I'd change back to the OEM grill IMO :)

Any mods planned?

To enjoy it initially

On the wish list would be :

Flappy paddles
Remap & pulley w/ upgraded heat exchanger
Exhaust work
Lowerage

Have not tried the standard grille on it but yes I like them too

Looks great Lenny, fantastic car. I love that grille that's on, way nicer than the stock grille, the stock grille looks cheap and too fussy IMO.

Aren't they the turbine wheels off the SL55?

They aren't Grovsie

Here is the MB wheel code on them

I like the uniqueness of the AMG grill, all the non-AMGs seem to have that aftermarket grill around by me it seems.

Yep, those wheels are off an SL55. - EDIT - I guess not

Wouldn't A221.... be S Class wheels?
