Lenny's CLS 55 AMG

All ok??? What happened ?
Yep cheers, car was parked up and the guy next to me smashed in the front quarter whilst trying to get out. It's all been sorted out through his insurance as he owned up to his fault. It'll all be fixed soon [emoji106]

Lenny donshl car sounds awesome ;)

Small update

-20mm hub centric spacers ordered for F&R
- car had a full geometry set up @ MB. They had the car for 2 days and had 10 hours in the job (eek). They've done a very good job , however going in this Wednesday again for a few tweeks at my request. They did confirm long term car could do with two rear camber arms so that will be on the wish list sometimes soon .

Otherwise car is going great.
I would have loved to get over to the MSL dyno day but I've decided I want to enjoy the car in stock form for a few thousand miles to allow it to earn those mods.

Oh and the comfort orthopaedic seats have started working.
I'm convinced it's the motor in the pump (as advised on my old thread) and I think the times to doesn't work is down to the motor not starting up for the little pump
It's an easy DIY.
More use seems to have in turn allowed the motor to work more and seems to be a non issue anymore -
Whoop woop

New IC (Bosch 010) fitted today
Car had original MB 003 pump
A noticeable improvement with the new one - Yey.

Not much to update really.

Car had an MOT check last week and was given a clean bill of health - the rattling rear exhaust heat shield was tightened however the secondary cats are still rattling a bit. I will investigate a secondary delete in the new year. More noise - yey !
New rear tyres fitted today - more grip for winter.

A little been yeag present for the beast !

15mm Fronts & 20mm rears

These are the proper jobs and bespoke to Mercedes front hubs

Alleluia H&R - hopefully get these fitted in the coming days and provide before and after :)

Today was dry and sunny (bit icy as first) so I cracked on with the wheel spacer's

The wheels are from a W216 CL63, and have an offset of 43. The CLS55 should have 25 front and 28 rear.
I went 15mm on front to bring it back to 28mm, and 20mm on the rear to create a little stagger and bring it back to 23mm.
I really like these wheels so rather than find a set of original's or aftermarkets, I chose the h&r spacer root.

Here is how the car looked before fitment (I am sure you will agree looked a little naff)

jacked up to tackle front first :)

Cleaned up front hub and hub cover with a drill and wire brush

Same for back of the wheels

little test fitment for front to ensure hub fits etc

now to clean the wheels properly while they are off (auto finesse Iron out is awesome stuff)

copper greased the wheel plates

copper greased the spacer to stop binding

wheel back on and a sneak peak

Now for the rear :) Followed same procedure to clean up hubs and wheels

Rear spacer bolted on

Rear sneak peak

WELLA.....The after math :D

I was so pleased I decided to bath the beast again with my snow foam lance

Finished result......perfect :D:D:D

Lenny's top tip: for anyone looking to buy spacers, do it right and do it the H&R way ;)!

edit 0 duplicate D

Looks fab, the spacers make such a massive difference.

Looking really nice Lenny. The spacers work a treat.
Looks like it could do with lowering a bit unless you are on the highest airmatic setting?
