Gents,

Does anybody have a recommendation for replacing the small piece of plastic that has been sheared off this small piece of plastic, it is for the roll top box lock on a 124. I want to build up the sheared off part.

I am thinking of something like liquid metal as it has to be very strong to survive in shear mode - any ideas of a cracking product somebody has used successfully in the past in a situation like this.....

Thanking you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Find a second hand one first !!!!!!!!!!

If not, Bend some thin steel around edge of part to exact profile put 90 degree bends into part and melt in with soldering iron.
place small rods of steel from new profile to well into existing part fill gaps in profile with melted plastic (or Dp8010 by 3m) of same type file to shape it will take a while.
Much easier to find another one.

It's a metal part! Just looks like plastic. Here is what I used....
