Liverpool Mercedes parts? Experience of Mercedes Frenz?

Some cheeky scally has stolen my front offside indicator unit (1999 SLK 230) and I've been on the phone all morning trying to find a part at a local breakers.. no-one seems to have one and now I'm thinking of going to the main dealer .. which will no doubt cost me arm and leg !

I've seen people mention Mercedes Frenz on the forum before and
I wondered if anyone can give me an idea of what they are like?

frenz do not sell parts, they service and repair cars.
have you tried GSF in walton, or deutche car parts in bootle by the docks?

Phone the Dealers, You may be surprised at how reasonable they are for parts ! Seriously !

I have always used the partsgateway for used parts, they usually come up with most things.

True i have noticed, for the cheaper parts, the dealers are really cheap.
For the expensive bits, they are really expensive as well.

Mercedes Frenz are very reliable (Prestige Frenz as they are now known) they offer very reasonable prices and they do a very thorough job. They're also ex-MB technicians who used to work for Road Range Lverpool, over the road.

Although they don't phone back regarding a quote on repair work! (Clutch Master Cylinder) I chased them around for 2 days, calling every few hours but "the Boss wasn't in" I called in to speak to them bout it and met Billy the mobile Merc mecanic! He Did the whole job quite cheap. Anyway, I'm Glad your sorted with your indicator!

Depends on whether the car has full MB service so far. If so keep up with MB service to maintain Mobilo-Life.

I rang them about 100 times and couldn't get an answer !! Have asked around a lot and generally good reports. Perhaps better to actually go to the garage !

I did get another indicator ok eventually through a family friend.
