So I took the Benz for a wee run up Loch Lomand, over to Tyndrum then onto Dalmally then turned up and went over by Inverary then over the rest and bethankful pass and home again.

2 hrs of MB driven bliss and over 40oddMPG. With the weather not being so good it was nice to get the car out for a proper run. I was surprised I saw no boys in blue, a day like this brings out the Strathclyde Motorbikes to hunt down the speeding bikers and BMWs.

No pics alas-but I thought I'd post it for the hell of it.

The weather is cr@p down here. has been raining for 3 days now.

Unlucky, barely a cloud in site today. If it wasnt for the fact I departed so late, I'd have gone all the way to Mallaig, or headed over to Laggan and Newtonmore via Spean Bridge, and then headed back home via Oban. Not enough hours in the day

Now why would you want to do that:devil:

Nice part of the world that is, @ Oban you have nice selection of routes to choose from to get home (i'd take one of the three below).

1. go back by Connell, on the road to Tyndrum and proceed to Tyndrum and head home by the A82 to Loch Lomand
2. As above but take the turning for Inverary near Dalmally
3.or go by Loch Melford and end up @ Lochgilphead

Looks like someone had a lucky escape there today then..Phew..

Sent there by a certain Robert Saunders?

Nah, he just gets to watch me suffer as I park up and get fined instantly as I take a risk too far by not buying a ticket as a nip off for a fish supper.

I can tell you where the free parking areas are!!!

Me and the local traffic wardens are on very friendly terms. Perhaps its my niceness that shows thru!

Mind you, I have not yet got permission to leave it on the double yellows when the big move comes in few weeks.

And I have yet to decide if I buy the annual parking permit, or abandon the car elsewhere, which means round the corner as it happens.

As far as driving is concerned. Last time I went to Lochgilphead, the water came over the bonnet of the car at Kilmicheal glassary, so I turned round and went back thru it, and home again. Nice Police man who was shutting the road, knew me so he said I could keep going as long as I drove slowly.

Hmmmmm

Check the local Road Order - exemptions normally apply for removals, certainly for un/loading anyway (unless loading restrictions are in force) - altho' of course the rools may be different north o'border

He's on commission:devil:
