Low Mileage 190E . . . or maybe not

LOL.. wonder how many miles it has done that the old lady owner doesn't know about

In all seriousness my brother found a 2.0 8v 190E, 1986

6,500 miles from new

£995 ono

He lives on Jersey though, cars do no miles at all.

Even so that is one low mileage 190.

Stering cars also sell alot on ebay, saying that the car still looks nice for 80k up!

These guys had a 230ce for sale a while ago, with so called low milage but the steering wheel had a hole in it and just looked like it had done a lot more, and it had no mention of history!!! me thinks they clocked it back to far :D

That jersey car is 65,000 miles:

MERCEDES 190E 2.0 Auto 1986 White V.g.c. Only 65,000 miles ฃ995 Telephone Mike on 07797 715712

Oh and they appear to drive up the price of their auctions by having a bidding ring of their own. Several of their auctions including two Mercs I was watching were pulled by eBay due to suspicious activity, same bidders on multiple items. I would tread with caution.

Your right, many low life traders buy stock at auction bung it on Ebay and use other id's to bid the price up.Always check the bidding history of other bidders using advanced search if you are bidding, although it only goes back 30 days.

This maybe against ebays policy but this happens all the time in real auctions the auctioneers often 'bounce bids' on the wall in order to get the bidding going or to reach a reserve price or even to reach what they consider a fair market price.

Seems to have made a lot of money for a G reg, considering the dodgy history and uncertain mileage. I put my 190E on ebay a little while ago same white auto K reg with genuine 92000 miles full Merc History and in near enough concours condition as you can get and it only made about £100 more?
