M112 3.7 tuning

just bought a sl 350 2003 and was wondering what people have done in regards to engine mods, air intake, exhaust etc

I was thinking cost wise more a pipercross air filter and remove the second cat lol

Kinda knew that, I was thinking of the pipercross one just to relive my youth more than anything

Car is no more than a mid life toy, as wife has banned me from getting a motorcycle lol

Invest in a good quality stainless exhaust.... Air filters wont really help much
You could remap it but gains will be marginal , something like 10 bhp

With the exhaust how much would you do for bang for tour buck, I was thinking just the rear cat removal and keep the standard one

I was looking at some posts on here where rthe car with the chip produced about 30hp and 40nm torque with the remap, which seems a lot for a N/A engine

I see you are in Scotland , Well depends , you could get just a cat back stainless , You may want to ask your local exhaust fabricators for a quote.

30bhp is good gain
