I have a E200 CGI 2011 cabriolet with 61k on the clock.
At 57k I had the EML come on with the fault relating to the camshaft sensors which were replaced at a cost of £500.
The check engine light came on last night and I'm being told that it is the same issue. The sensors were cleaned and checked.
I was told that if the light were come on again I should look to replace the car as it is a common fault on the M271 engine.
My knowledge is quite limited on this , but I've only had the car a couple of years and it has always run perfectly. Ideally I want to keep it a couple of more years!
Does anyone have a similar experience? I have checked the existing M271 thread but the issues appear on slightly older engines?
