I am trying to remove the air filter box on my c180k but the vacuum line above the MAF will not budge.
Is it as simple as it looks?
Just squeeze the circular clip and pull but there is no movement and I am very reluctant to resort to brute force and ignorance just yet.
Thanking you for any speedy replies.
Tony

You are squeezing it in the wrong place I suspect.

You have undone the two bolts holding it in at the back as well.

Ollie was spot on, thank you. Having taken a closer look, there are two spigots which push a ring to release the grip washer.
Pipe removed the inlet box I cannot find any suspect split vacuum pipes. Where does the usual suspect reside?
I am getting error codes such as p0137 & p0171 but no loss in performance.

There are also some under the inlet manifold. It needs to removed to see them.

Thanks Olly!
I thought I read that somewhere here but could not find the info again when I needed it.
Star testing said the downstream o2 sensor had failed so that has been renewed.
If the engine light reappears then off with the inlet manifold it is.

Tony
