Decided to take a chance and fit a new MAF on spec to see if it cures my mis-fire

Anybody any recommendations of where to buy an original part from? apart from the stealers that is

Thanks

Car is 52 plate W163 (ML320)

Whatever you do get the OEM part (think its bosch) do not get a cheap one.
I made that mistake and had to return it to Eurocar parts after about 2 weeks as it failed.

Are the MAF sensors a common fault on the ML W163? I have a ML270 CDI and I do not believe the sensor has ever been changed. Car cruises along at around 2500 revs and then when I push it it hits 3500. Also goes to the max if hold the revs while the vehicle is standing still. Sounds okay to me, any tests which I could carry out?

For my money, unless you're running a shed you don't care about you should never use non-Bosch parts.

ECP will fob you off with the cheapest they've got unless you ask specifically.

Here speaks a man who bought the wrong lambda sensor :D

I asked what the OEM MAF on my C270 CDI is and was told it is Pierburg by Ollie at PCS.....Got Pierburg one from Euros for £43 plus vat......

Sorry, for "non-Bosch" read "non-OEM"

Although Pierburg are seen as inferior to Bosch on eg Golf GTi.

Do Bosch make them for the C270 CDI?? I would prefer Bosch if they make them.....
