As most of us know, we can replace our pedals for the "Evolution" aluminium pedals for around £20 - and it is something that we can do as they are very easy to fit.

I've just been looking on the Vauxhall website, as my girlfriend likes the look of mine and wants some for her Astra convertible, so I thought I'd buy her some for Christmas...

An unbelievable £94! - including fitting, which *has* to be done at the dealer  . They are very nice though.

Hmm, I did see a nice scarf at M&S ;)

Yes - they will fit.

Do a search for "Alloy Pedals" to find the appropriate thread with all the details.

Good idea! ... Then again, if I did it wrong, and her foot slipped off the brake ... hmmm, maybe I'll call in at the Vx dealer ;)

And to save you even more hassle (because we're so helpful here!), here's the ShudeMeister's cut out and keep, everything you wanted to know about Evolution pedals but were afraid to ask, pictures and all, what more do you want epic on Page 5 of this most revered thread!

Shude's Pedal Masterclass
I've had 2 other owners ask me where the hell I got them from. They weren't SLK owners.

ATB,

Greg

Thanks for the info, I will get on the Mercedes of Worcester and get myself some for Christmas, though something tells me they will have gone up 400% when I ask!!
You see there I was quite happy with my new C Class, I come on this site and already I Have to have alloy pedals, new bi xenons and the command system is looking nice as well.
The worst of it is the Merc is only a daily driver, my real car is in the garage nice and dry but needs money spent on it, money that could now be spent on the merc. Its looking like a part time job is needed.

Only gets worse Dave :D .

So, what's your real car stuck in the garage? And, if it's interesting, can we have some pics please (and the Merc) :D

Flyer,

My pride and joy ia a 1961 Jaguar E-Type roadster one of the first few made. I am just coming to the end of a 6 year restoration. I had earmarked some money to get it on the road next summer, the problem was I had promised myself a VW Passat sport. I got talking to a MB salesman one day and he offered me a test drive in the C220 has you all know once you see that damned three pointed star staring at you from the end of the bonnet all is lost.
So the money set aside for the 'E' was spent on the extra I needed for the MB, now of course I have to add extra's to make it even better, which means the jag will have to wait a bit longer.
I will post some pics as soon as I can get a photo of the two together. I have plenty of the jag but strangely none of the MB.

Dave
Who is looking for PT work.

Ooh, very nice! Don't know much about them, apart from the fact that they are very beautiful - especially in BRG  . Six year restoration - that sound like an awful lot of work; be worth it though come the summer, eh? :D

Cheers

Alloy pedals (again)

Hi,

Phoned up my local dealer (Worcester MB) and asked about the alloy pedals, guess what, he tells me that I have to order the complete pedal box to get the pedals. I tried to convince him that this is not the case.
If I can get the part numbers then it should be ok.
I looked through the search section and could not find the right number for my car W203 220 CDI manual. I want to be exact if I have to order them, I have enough scrap lying around my garage at the moment. The info is probably there but I want to be sure.
Thanks.

Dave

Bu66er - that's just reminded me :o

Greg .... PM on the way to ya (and I don't mean Tony bLiar).

Great, thanks a lot, thats one present sorted for my oldest son.
My first upgrade by the way, if you don't count the car phone fitted by my company, oh and the rear privacy glass.

Got my new pedals today and you're all right, 'what a bargain' £19.93 thats all.
Ordered late yesterday afternoon - delivered first thing this morning, can't beat that for service.
