I'm thinking of having a look round there on the weekend. Can anyone tell me what the admission fees are, and if it's likely to be 'too' busy there on the weekend to warrant going. Cheers.

It's worth going and is free to wonder round, also worth checking out the Brooklands motor museum next door.

If you want to drive on the track you will need to cough up! see link to artical in last Sundays Times.

I'm still trying to convince the wife with lines like

"They say it's great for kids"

"I heard there are some clothes shops there, and the shoe shops are incredible"

"We'll have to pass Bicester designer oulet village on the way"

"We could have a look at the GL-Class you like - you never know they may do us a killer deal on the finance?"

So far my plan hasn't worked, surprisingly!!

:D GL is worth a drive.

I had a GL420 CDI down a muddy bank and through a river yesterday :D

Not quite Bicester, but there is a large M&S and large Tesco on the Brooklands site! and if you have to go via Bicester, make sure it's on the way back;)

Think these Brooklands threads need merging.

For the non-drivers there is a #436 Arriva from Weybridge or Woking. Half an hour frequency. Earliest I myself could be there is 11:04 i've worked out. Doable in a day does one think (would have to get the 17:34 bus back)? Or am I best staying a night?

You don't get to drive - you get taken round by a 'Driving Experience' driver.

I was talking to the experence drivers yesterday and as far as i know , you can take cars round to test the and drive yourself.

well, I think I'll take a wonder down there on the weekend.:D

Sounds like the ideal venue for a get together. Wonder what they would say to that idea?

Well I got taken round and haven't seen any members of the public driving them - I can't see they'd let you on a track with a 6.3 AMG with little or no run off!
