Now the initial places are all gone, some more details about this years event:

We have been in touch with a couple of magazines as well as the local paper to promote the event on a larger scale, and hopefully bring more people to the forum. The press release is as follows:

"As spring looms and we slowly and hopefully start to say goodbye to winter, it's time to start thinking about car shows! May 17th is the date for this years Prestige Car Service get-together, in association with MBClub.co.uk. This is a fantastic one day meeting organised by Prestige Car Service, Mercedes-Benz service and repair specialists, for owners and enthusiasts of the marque to get together with their cars to indulge in their interest.

The day starts at Prestige Car Services workshop in Horndean, Hampshire. Olly, Jack and Graham will be offering one-day-only discounts on all work, as well as special offers on air conditioning services and diagnostic checks using their Mercedes Star diagnostic tool. (Subject to prior booking.)

For the afternoon the event moves onto the beautiful village of Finchean, just a couple of miles across the picturesque fields of Hampshire, where a free barbecue at The George pub awaits us! There is a large car park for us to create our own fantastic display of our Mercedes-Benz while enjoying the locally sourced produce and locally brewed beers and ales!

We will have attendance from a couple of magazines, they'll be looking for future feature cars; tuner Rebellion Automotive will be bringing 3 demo cars to talk and demonstrate big power AMG; The Wheel Specialist will be along with examples of their refurbished wheels and offering advice and tips; and hopefully a couple of other yet to be confirmed surprises.

New for this year we have a free bouncy castle and face painting to make this a fun family day out.

All models and ages of Mercedes (and owners!) are welcome. We hope to see you there!"

Directions from PCS to The George, (2.6 miles):

Leaving PCS' unit, turn left down the steep hill back to the main road, (London Road).
Turn right to go under the A3.

Follow the road to the mini roundabout with the Spar shop on your left.
At the round about take the first exit.

After approximately 1/3 mile turn left onto Rowlands Castle Road, going up the hill.

Follow the road into the countryside through the fields for about 1.5 miles.
Turn left where the road bears right. You'll effectively be going straight on. This junction has a brown sign for The George.

Follow the road, go around the sharp left corner, down the hill to the T junction at the bottom. Turn left and The George is almost immediately on your right. The entrance to our display parking is immediately beyond the pub.

There will be marshals to guide everyone in and to park you up. Please be patient as we will be maxed out on space so will need to park everyone up efficiently in order to fit everyone in.

All cars are welcome to park the display field.



I will be meeting and greeting at PCS as last year and organising the short run to The George. I kindly ask that everyone makes a note of the directions, or postcode, or preprogram sat navs etc to help make sure we all get there is one piece. I will have a few copies of the above directions and maps on the day for emergencies!
