MBOC SL day Castle Howard.

Druk has red indian blood in his lineage, and sometimes answers to Hawkeye the Noo!

Is that you next to him, Silver Saloon, and are you going? I'm heading off shortly, but I'll keep an eye out for you, if you're there.

Ps Just thinking about the last shot by the loch. A bit of a romantic view of Druk, innit??:-))

Can I come please?

Anyone need any parts bringing!!;)

i'm the young guy in the tshirt 3rd of left in the pic LTD posted of my car. :D

anyone is welcome i believe..... and yes i'm going..... if you fancy a chat keep an eye out for my car there but i think there's going to be 300 cars in total so mine will get lost in the madness i'm sure....

Sorry I never made it guys SWMBO father took ill so unfortunately we were on family duty. Shame hough as I was really looking forward to it.

Hope it all went well weather was dry with us about 20 miles due South so hope it was the same for you.

Sorry to hear that, hope he makes a good recovery.

weather was really good. no rain! unfortunatly i didnt apply any suntan lotion and after standing around the field for several hours and then driving all the way back to scotland with the roof off, my face now resembles a beetroot! never mind!

i really enjoyed the drive back though - even though the car had a blowing exhaust (new collector pipe now ordered!) i had some good fun and stretched its legs.

the day itself was really good with loads of SLs over the generations. My particular favorite was the gullwing (pictured below).

thanks again to MD5 for the shot of the R129 - really nice!

i didnt take as many pics as i should have done so didnt get any 129 models, or 230s, although there were loads there. some pics anyway:

Good to meet you and glad you made it back okay, SilverSaloon - I was concerned the exhaust might let you down!! Haven't got home myself yet. In Liverpool on business. Hope the weather picks up for a topless return trip!

the exaust is a crack in the Y piece that comes from the manifold to the main exhaust pipe so i knew it wouldnt fall off etc, it was just very noisey! i'd previously had the whole exhaust off the car for inspection so i knew it was fine and the cheapskate in me decided a fix rather than replacement Y piece would do the job and had been fine pottering around town the week before and half the way to yorkshire but i think the high revving motorway driving blew off the repair :(

i'm pleased i was able to give the car a good run though on the return journey - it was the 1st time i'd really stretched its legs and i really enjoyed it. should be even better once the Y piece is replaced!
