Woohoo! The A003 cable arrived today and works a treat! It seems that the Comand / MMI on my 2014 car can't communicate with an iPhone 7 via the Mercedes Lightening Lead (my original issue), however, the older(?) 30-pin A003 lead works, with a separate Apple 30-pin to Lightening adapter plugged in, to enable the connection to the phone.

The media interface is very cool and I'm very impressed. Sounds quality is a lot better than Bluetooth (obviously) and access to the playlists, etc on the phone, with media artwork is fantastic. Thanks to Mr Goose

Bought my cables for my SLK off eBay , but a merc site , four or five cables for around £12 I think .

You're welcome. Probably a bit late for garycat but I have spare a002 & a003 iPod (30 pin) cables up for grabs. FOC if you promise to put a couple of quid in the next charity tin you see.
