Hi Guys

I bought a bluetooth connecter from eBay - official benz part for £110, works perfectly and saved on the R.R.P. of £280! Says used but excellent condition with no marks, looks and feels new!

I got it today and am chuffed so thought I would share, here is the item link I bought, I think the guy selling has 8/9 left and he has 100% feedback (listed under other items he is selling).

MERCEDES HFP BLUETOOTH PHONE CRADLE - Part No B67875877 on eBay (end time 28-Nov-10 17:21:06 GMT)

It works with my 2007 CLS with pre-wiring. I think it says it works with all models after 2004!

Hope it saves you guys money in the run up to Christmas if you were looking to buy!

I bought a Sap V2 from this guy and it did not work, sent back recorded del. on Monday and still waiting for a refund! Glad yours is ok.

Hi,

That is the older HFP. It does not support PBAP (i.e. address book download on the later Nokia phones for instance). However it works better with an iPhone with OS4 than the newer HFP as address book download is very slow on HFP-2 with iPhone OS4.1 (I havent tried OS4.1, perhaps Alfie can comment)

As to your SAP V2, what phone were you trying to use with it ?

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard it is a Nokia 3720 classic, 2010, [car is a 2007 SL]. It would not download address book, took the sim out and put in the V2 and still did not work. Have just bought a new MB-2 [ arrived this morning] £ 135.00 so hopefully that will work.

You people should have bought the VISEEO MBU1000 or MB2, with upgradable firmware and always waorks a treat with 12 months warranty from ebay for around £140 delivered...

To provide some balance to the last statement.

a) Some people prefer to put only Mercedes products in their vehicle.

b) HFP has some nicer features than ViseeO (like telling you which bluetooth phone you are paried with, useful if more than 1 device)

c) User upgradability of the ViseeO is nice (but as the product is basically stable there haven't been any upgrades for a while - but they did a temporary patch for iPhone iOS4 whilst Apple spent a few months fixing their issues. (HFP worked with iOS4, HFP-2 did not).

d) The HFP is upgradable by a MB dealer (or someone with the very expensive kit such as comand online) *if* Mercedes release new firmware (and they have not).

e) Mercedes give HFP a 2 year warranty, ViseeO 1 year although some suppliers will optionally supply more warranty (at their own risk).

f) ViseeO is a great product too, and works better with iPhone iOS4 than the Mercedes HFP 2 cradle.

I would expect it to (but I would have expected the 3720 to aswell). Dont forget on the viseeo that after its paired you must wait for the green light to stop flashing (goes solid) and then press the 2nd button.

Viseeo MB-2 worked fine, i have just tried it. The only problem was that my contacts on my phone where all saved to my sim, once i had transferred them to my phone the MB-2 downloaded them all automatically :bannana:
