Which one do you like better?. I have a amg premium plus a class in black and a polar sliver b class. Which shape do you like. I'm planning on selling one to get a gla.

You can't answer the question without knowing what it is you want to do with the car that you keep and why you're getting the GLA in the first place.

Once we know that, we'll ask about the condition and value of the A & B, because that's just as important.

Personally, I don't like the shape of either of them. I much prefer the S205 C Class.

But that depends on which model(s) are being referred to. There have been four generations of A Class and three generations of B Class, both plus facelifts of course!

For sure. Whereas I'm thinking why has he switched to the GLA and what does he want to do with the 2nd motor ?

Scenario 1: GLA's the family car, 2nd car is the dog car
Scenario 2: GLA's still the family car, 2nd car is the "Rag it like there's no tomorrow" A210 Evolution £2k Dadmobile....
etc etc...


And then within each class there's a range of engines, ages and conditions...

I thought that it was a purely aesthetic question re "shape"

Nor do I, which is why we also have an S205

Actually some of the newer shapes aren't too bad, depending quite heavily on colour/wheels/etc.

Where you are going wrong is that you have not realised that it had less than nothing to do with a new system and everything to do with spending an £11 billion budget.

"Not my circus, not my monkeys" I was in different playgrounds. Wouldn't have touched such a ridiculous NHS project with a bargepole, even with a very large 18ct bargpolel

I agree with you both that the S205 (or BMW 3 series) is a perfect car for all kinds of life,

I'm just wondering what's in Merc10198's head about what he wants to do with the 2nd car, beyond using it as a garden ornament. Runabout, wife's car, daughter's car, dog's car, four teenage 6'3" sportsmen going to a match or whatever.

Keep the newer a class as has a nice interior. Bin off the b glass and go gla

B class is more roomy a class is smaller and lower . B class is comfortable and a class is also comfortable but smaller

To answer the question directly; I like the A class shape more than the B class shape. The B class prioritised practicality over style in the same way that BMW did with the 2 series active tourer. That doesn't make either of them a bad car if your priority is practicality. If everyone prioritised style, Skoda wouldn't have sold a single Yeti and you can think of many other examples.
