No, I can't see it either.

The op is merely painting us a picture of the scene.

I'm surprised the mention of 'black cars' hasn't been highlighted as being racist.

At no point is the post suggesting that the piss poor service is anything to do with their respective races so it isn't racist.

Some people ought to stop reading the Daily :fail .

Its racist as he highlighted the workers racial origin when there was no need to do so.
No real surprise that the garage charged for mending the car either.

Just got SWMBO to read the OP as this is her area of expertise, the OP is definitely NOT racist. The statements relating to the origin of the gentlemen in question would have to had to be followed by a derogatory word or be part of a derogatory sentence in order for them to be considered racist. As they stand the OP is merely stating his belief of the Nationality or geographical origin of the gentlemen in question.

Now lets play nicely and enjoy the sunshine :D

Thanks for clarifying that.

I posted ages ago now about a bunch of Asian lads, driving some serious metal - RR, SLS, Lambo, in a very very stupid way, around a ring road in Birmingham, in the middle of the afternoon.

Pretty soon I was jumped on by the PC brigade .

Luckily my pal Dr Nab stepped in to confirm, that, despite my many faults :D, I wasn't a racist.

I hadn't even considered that there were people out there that would create something from nothing.

My thread was completely railroaded and ruined prior to the Nab cavalry.

Racism is discrimination based on a person's ethnic origin.

Merely mentioning their race is therefore not racist as the OP is not discriminating.

Saying they were crap because they were from wherever clearly is racist and bears no relation to reality.

How is the OP discriminating?

Had he not mentioned the respective races, we'd probably all assume they were white - does that make us racist?

Bulls***

Normal non racist version:

"When i arrived I drove through the gates to find somewhere to park. I was pursued by the workshop supervisor who shouted through the window that i could not park there.

At reception I booked in leaving the car' by the service bay having refused to allow the workshop supervisor to drive it away.

So I went back to the workshops to find two laughing techs sitting in my car apparently listening to the radio. I took away the key and went to reception to pay. Suddenly one tech appeared and demanded the key to turn off the engine? What a silly fib. He was followed by the same workshop supervisor who demanded the key in a very rude manner."

EDL version:

"When i arrived I drove through the gates to find somewhere to park. I was pursued by an Eastern European who shouted through the window that i could not park there.

At reception I booked in leaving the car' by the service bay having refused to allow the Eastern European to drive it away.

HTH.

James Ensor was a Belgian artist.

From the Wall Street journal a fortnight ago:

"Ensor's painting may summon his country's struggle against economic and political oppression. His congested street and sinister, motley swarm—which includes parodies of Leopold's retinue, brutally racist caricatures and even a Congo mask that may allude to his reign's imperial ambitions—shatter one of the period's most cherished pictorial schemas by transforming the modern city into a maelstrom of disorder, alienation and hypocrisy."

I'll let others join the dots.

Speechless..it should read 'Eastern Europeans' not 'East Europeans'

May we now move on to the next Daily Wail headline posting?:D

MB Chelsea have previous for being a pain. Many colleagues have only been there once and never again.

I've experienced the joy of the Chelsea Wandsworth gatekeeper too. I went to collect a new battery for my W124 as mine had gone kaputt, and he told me in no uncertain terms to park elsewhere and he'd move it for me. I told him with a flat battery he'd move it absolutely nowhere so in the end he let me put it in a prominent place.

As to the parts department, I waited 30 mins while the men in front of me attempted to haggle about the price of the parts.

A totally lousy experience.

My last visit had me waiting 10 minutes while the parts guy finished a telephone conversation with his mate. Delightful

I never even went there once and I know I wouldn't touch them with a barge poll - I just spoke to them on the phone and decided I wouldn't be going there, what does that tell you!

I have been going to MB Chelsea in Wandsworth for the best part of a decade to get parts, in an assortment of W126's and W124's that look like they have been through the back of a couple of hedges at best, and never had a problem.

I would never go there to have work done, but for buying parts I have never experienced an issue other than having to wait if busy to place an order, and have found the 'African' chap to use the OP's turn of phrase, who runs the parts desk nothing but helpful and happy to come and have a look at the car to check I am ordering the right part, and in my time there most of the people ordering parts turn up in older Mercs as if you have a newer one then can probably afford not to do the work yourself!

Their sales department in Chelsea is utterly useless, though well worth a visit as they have every AMG available on display, from C to G

I agree, I've had nothing but excellent service from the Parts department. If they don't have a part they usual transfer it from another dealership within half a day ready for collection.

Never used their service department as I don't want to pay their hourly rates (something like £150/hr?)

I see that "James Ensor" having made his first post, never returned

not really no ...... but I do love the internet ;) I have no Idea who the orginal poster of this thread is but someone with a similiar name after a google search ( ;) )was found whilst I was searching for holidays in Cape Verde (I have been there twice)

Boa Vista Experience :: View topic - Riu Karamboa - First Review!

James Ensor owns property on the Mudiera development on Sal Island. He also runs a web site which supposedly provides impartial information on Cape Verde. One of his ways of earning income is to rent out his properties.

James Ensor will try and persuade people that Sal is the only island worth staying on and will then try and persuade people to rent through him. He will go to any lengths to do this including mis-quoting peoples comments off other forums, and misrepresenting other islands, and in particular Boa Vista, in an attempt to persuade people to stay on Sal.

One of the reasons behind the setting up of this website and forum was to counteract the rubbish being published by James Ensor about Boa Vista. I have had to write to James Ensor's website hosting company and threaten legal action in order to prevent him stealing material off the boavistaexperience website.

Having been to both Boa Vista and Sal I have to concur that I prefer Sal
