Mercedes-Benz Service plan

For my own amusement I just checked the Mercedes MyService cost, requesting a quote for a "B Service". The basic cost was £448, with "Additional items" costing a further £949, taking the total to a rather eye watering £1,400. Now I know it'll never be cheap to replace 24 spark plugs (they quote £663 for this), but £130 to change the charcoal filter & £160 to replace the coolant....really ???

We've discussed this before. The pricing MyService quotes is just bonkers and I can't believe it isn't costing MB dealers business.

The more work they do, the cheaper it should get. Adding everything at full "rack rate" prices is insane.
