stuttgart 2006 - Mercedes Active Driving Experience.
A whole weekend dedicated to the Mercedes - First up was a tour to the Factory inside Stuttgart - no cameras allowed, taken round the test track 120mph + 5 up with their pro drivers.
A visit to the mercedes museum in the afternoon - followed by a meal with their technical guys and debrief into the next days fun.
Taken to the Mercedes testing ground - over 30 different types of road conditions - the objective was to learn how to control each vehicle using the technology of each vehicle - then turn it off to see how it reacts.
With their technical guys on hand at each stage giving advice on what to expect and to push us each time raising the speed. Learning how to 'J' turn in an estate and racing crazy DTM specced vehicles through straights and wet hazards..
Ended the day with all out timed race completing all conditions with the experience learned. Best thing about this is to this day I remember what was taught and how to respect the vehicle and understand and able to 'feel' it's abilitys
Fantastic - got over 300 pics from that day - here are a few - more to follow
