I took out the service plan on my C63 when I bought the car last June. I've so far paid 7 months at £45.00. I had my car serviced last week at a cost of around £800, which I obviously didn't have to pay for, they are a no brainer if you want the car kept within the dealer network. Having said that you can get 5 year servicing pack on a new M3 for around £1k
