Mercedes 320clk, 2000 model.
does anyone know if 18" alloys replacing the standard 16" wheels on a clk will adversely affect the wear pattern? mine seem to be grinding the outside edge (feathering) of both front tyres.

Does anyone know what these michelin pilot sport ps2's are like, i.e longevity and wet and dry performance? any info would be grateful, cheers.

Mercedes always wear like this - 18" will actually make it worse due to the increased offset. Check your suspension geometry as a matter of course however.

feathering always suggests your front wheel tracking is out, outside edge on both wheels means your wheels are towing in,and bigger wheels will exagrate it,get it checked at a garage;)....if it wasnt feathered i would just say you're cornering to fast...lol...wearign on the outside edge on both wheels without feathering happens alot on cars with power steering as you do tend to corner to fast ,not having the feed back manual steering gives
