ML 270 - Got a couple of problems really, one is the dash board/consul illumination lights are not working but the electronic mileage reader etc is.

The other is i pushed the passenger seat as far forward as i could to clean underneath and when i wanted to bring it back into it's original position it is now stuck. All the other electric motors operate ok and you can even hear the required motor trying to work but the seat will not move.

Firstly i need to find alll the associated fuses, i've found the fuse box in the driver footwell, is there any others i need to locate?

Help appreciated.

Sorted the seat problem, just now looking into the illumination issue, any advice greatly appreciated, also found the fuse box under the bonnet but the 7.5 amp fuse is ok

Hi there, I have a very similar problem. See:
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/77031-ml270-electrical-niggles.html

A couple of suggestions have been made but I haven't got to the bottom of it yet. Carf is in the workshop today for someone to have a look (while fixing some other electical issues). If they find a fault I'll let you know what it was.

Found the other fault! Just goes to show how something so small can cause you problems, i fitted a new 99p bulb to the cigarette ligher illumination in the centre console, on closer inspection there was a fault with the terminals on the bulb which caused the fuse to blow. Off to clean the thing now.

Could you tell us what you did to fix the problems please.
