Spoke to a guy at work (X5 driver) who to a sharp intake of breath when I said I was buying an ML. "oooh you don't mind getting it nicked then, one yank of the handle and it's open".....founded or unfounded?

The ML shares door handles with the W202/208/210/170 and I think the same locks/security as the pre-facelift 202, 210 and all 170s. It shouldn't be any more of a security risk than those cars.

When I was 200 miles from home and I foolishly managed to get locked out of mine the AA guy took 90 mins to get in.........

You missed the obvious reply of "At least someone will actually want to nick my car..." :D

First time Ive heard of that, probably totally unfounded.

Hi

ML boot locks break and dont lock, because of this the alarm doesnt arm. Very common problem.
Always wondered why 6th and 7th seats fetch so much on ebay till i found out about boot lock.
