Recently the glow plug light has been staying on for a while after start-up. My
'expert' recommends replacing all glow plugs and the module. Is this the way forward? Note my expert has nothing to gain by his recommendation. If the advice had come from a dealer, I would be taking it with a pinch of salt.

Surely a Star test would be able to pinpoint the exact glowplug that was faulty, or if it was the Relay Maodule?

If not, why do the Indys pay so much for it......

The cost of a Star session would probably pay for itself unless EVERY glowplug AND the Module is knackered..

I had this on my old S211. I replaced all six, on the reasoning that if one had gone then the others would have had identical wear so were likely to be on their way out. The advantage of doing that for the S211 is that you have to do a fair bit of dismantling to get at the things so it was more efficient to do them all.

I seem to recall that the length of time the warning light stays on for identified the defective plug.

Same problem on my sprinter van, replaced all glow plugs.problem sorted.
