Hi everyone, firstly so much valuable information on here.

I am wondering if someone could help me with regards to window washer problems my wife's 2007 ML 420Cdi has developed in the last few days.

Firstly, the front washers spray became very weak, so I looked under the bonnet and cleared the tubes with compressed air. They seem to be working now.

However, the rear washer spray is not spraying, and when you try to spray a little trickle of water comes out. In the meantime water starts to drip into the car from the side and top into the boot. ( Not sure if I have explained this correctly)

I can only assume that the tube is blocked or come undone but cant figure out where the access point to get at the tube is or how to remove the spray washer itself from the tailgate or how to remove the trim.

I have read there is a valve in the Cpanel but how do I get to this?

Anyone with any ideas would be really great. I have looked all over the internet but cant seem to find anything. I don't want to go a visit a dealer in all honestly.

Thanks in advance and kind regards

Raj

Hello again everyone. Does anyone know how I can get hold of a service manual for the car?

Many thanks

Hi raj, have you tried a Google search , failing that what about a mercedes dealer

tried google search, but can't seem to locate one. Tried Haynes as well.

The local mercedes dealer in Watford is not very helpful as well.

I dont want to break any of the trim and just wanted guidance on how to get at the rear washer feeding pipes as if anything breaks the wife will go crazy, as its her pride and joy lol

Just to update. Found an article about the rear lock, and within the article it advises that the centre panel at the top of the glass just pops off. So I decided to take the plung and pop it off to see what's underneath. That was quite simple and underneath was the washer feed hose. It had come off the rear washer so was squirting water all over the rear door.

Took a bit of fiddling but just popped it back on and now they work fine. Put everything back together and works like a charm.
