ML270 when Locking the car lights are not flashing

When I lock my ML270 the lights have stopped flashing. BTW my front wiper motor has failed and is being replaced but the MB garage can't work out why the lights don't flash when I lock the car. Any suggestions?

Have you checked all the necessary relays and fuses?

Yes I have. MB garage in now saying that the internal motion sensor may be faulty but nothing concrete.

Did MB put the car on STAR? As any problems I have ever had have been found quickly using STAR.

They don't flash if a door is not closed properly. So, suspect a door switch is faulty.

Had the same thing on my W203. It was the switch in the tailgate lock had come apart so it wasn't tell the car the door was shut. With mine the warning flashed up on the dash that the tailgate was open
