Ml63

Hi all,

Although my 1st / 2rd post I have been a regular viewer of this site for a number of years. I currently have a v8 itch whihach only a Ml55 or Ml63 will fix

Finding a good ML55 is hard, unless anyone here knows of a good one for sale. I could be tempted for a ML63, notice the forum user amokwa is selling one but I cant PM him due to low post numbers. ( such a silly rule that ). amokwa pm me about your car.

The jump from Ml55 to Ml63 will take more £ but I reckon it could be worth it, unless I find a good ML55.

To the ML63 owners, what sort of issues do these cars have ? Is car tax 290 / 450 ?

I had a ML 63. Re-built the 'box at 56k. They are seriously expensive cars to run. Just be aware.

Actually very easy to maintain, 130 quid full service kit from MD

Been search via different sites. Some people feel that cars between 06 07 have issues.

In the far sale section there is a ml63 for sale. But i cant pm the chap due to low post numbers.

I had an ml55 and the power is ok but won't blow you away. Sound will need modifying as its too quiet as is. Handle well for a w163 to be fair.

The ml63 is the one I'd go for if I'm honest. It's worth paying the extra!

Comes down to costs I suppose. Im looking at 2 ML55 which seem okay but still come with slight issues but the price is reflective. I do prefer the ml63 even on the noise alone lol. Im definitely becoming an AMG man though. Trying to read up on both cars and common issues.

Quick question chaps. Do these trucks suffer ABC suspension issus ? I was looking at some early CL55 and nearly all had issues. Has Mercedes revised the system ? I noticed that the chap selling his ML63 on here mentioned suspension issues on first first advert.

Any other common issues on this version of ML or 6.3 engine ?

I think if you are asking about the tax, possibly a ML63 is not the car for you.... It's going to be insignificant in the scheme of things...

Hi. Quick update. I spoke to Sam, nice guy. I think he is too far in his deal with BMW so his ML63 has gone. Never mind, I found a Ml55 today, went and saw it, £4K later deal done Just drove it home, been chipped and is the fastest Ml55 Ive driven ( driven 5 now ). A few electric things need fixing so will be sniffing out parts etc on the forum.
