hi everyone, Just got my C36, trouble is its got 'pimped 18inch alloys', I want to return it to standard with the AMG II/III's, 7.5J front and 8.5J rear, trouble is I don't know the offsets needed, the ATP alloys that are on it now are ET35 (35mm?)

I've had a look at 'murray systems' site, trouble is it lists half a dozen combinations, i've just emailed them about this subject too :) Does anybody have a definative answer, somebody with a C36 maybe?

Does anybody have a set hidden away in a garage? :) I know... got to ask though! seriously, a set would be good, only stipulation is that they must be round, can get them refubished no probs, or maybe a swap, cash either way, with my pimped smoked chrome ones :)

Cheers Kris.

hi kris

i believe the fronts are 7.5j with an ET of 35.......and the rears are 8.5j with an ET of 30

have a look in classifieds, grahamc230k was selling a set of 17"AMG's..........

good luck:o

That right same off set as mind

Does the staggered (7.5j, 8.5j) set up cause any problems in terms of wear of the tyres. I want to get AMG alloys, however my brother told me I should get the same widths all round so when it comes to service, they can be rotated so as to be evenly worn.

What are people's thoughts?

i've got 18 x 8J amg alloys all round, but i've got 255/35 tyres on the rear and 225/40 tyres up front, so they are kind of staggered.............

i don't think the tyre wear should be a problem as long as all the wheels are correctly balanced and tracked.....might be an idea to get the four wheel laser geometry done.........

original AMG cars came with staggered wheels....i think you'll be ok......

My friend has a set of 17" original AMG alloys off his C36, he's just upgraded to 18", they come with tyres.

He's in Worthersee (Austria) for the next 2 weeks, if you PM me your number I'll pass it on when he gets back.

staggered setup is standard on most high powered cars

amg wheels

just a quick thanks to everybody for your very fast responses and information.

I shall get hunting :)

Cheers again Kris.
