The most dangerous roads in the world have been revealed and yes the UK has made the top 10.

Full story HERE

So, the A44 as dangerous as the Cerro de la Muerte?

Better stick a 40mph limit on it and plaster with speed cameras. Oh wait.....

Its a nice story but I have my doubts about the authenticity of the figures from this somewhat "self appointed" authority. ASIRT Home They are certainly at odds with this survey where the A44 doesn't even merit a mention.:dk:
Top 10 Most Dangerous A Roads

1. A889 - A86-A9 (near Dalwhinnie)
2. A537 - Macclesfield-Buxton
3. A12 - Romford-M25
4. A4137 - A49-A40 (west of Ross-on-Wye)
5. A628 - A616-Penistone
6. A1001 - Hatfield
7. A534 - Welsh boundary to Nantwich
8. A533 - Runcorn-A56
9. A682 - M65 Junction 13 - A65 Long Preston

What a complete load of old tosh.

There is no such thing as a dangerous road.

Its the people that use it that are dangerous.

If everyone drove within their own and their vehicles capabilities bearing in mind all relevant factors like time of day, weather, road condition, etc...., then there would be 99% fewer "accidents".

The A44 stands out in there as a ridiculous token political inclusion in what is a list of roads of a completely different species.

Let's see some genuine figures that make the A44 any way comparable to the other roads.

He has been very lucky not to get his collar felt for the last 6 months.
Obviously never drives through London or anywhere else infested with CCTV. Must either drive down side streets or at night for most of the time.
His day WILL come........................
