Son of a very good friend dropped dead from massive heart attack last Thursday (only 44!! Life can be so cruel), not a religious family but Steve was a massive West Ham supporter - so I was asked to find "Bubbles" to be played at his funeral in 10 days time. I've found and downloaded it in MP3 format - but if the crematorium only has "standard" CD player, how do I convert the MP3 file to something I can burn to CD for their player??

2 families will be eternally thankful for help that ends in Bubbles being played at Steve's funeral.

You can do it in Windows media player or personally I use Nero Express, but there are loads of free programs such as free burn, hope that helps and sorry to hear about your friends son, so tragic

If it's in iTunes, you can burn it to CD as a sound file or else Windows media player can do it.

If all else fails, you could email me the file and I'll be happy to burn it to CD and mail it to you.

This numpty can't see how to do this from Media Player, but I do have Roxio Easy Media Creator 10, which has a "Quick Music CD" facility that says it'll put MP3's onto a CD that can be played in any CD player - so for the cost of 1 CDR I'll give it a try tomorrow (club night tonight!!).

Thanks for the help - I may still end up asking for an email address!!

Thanks Mike - simple instructions for a numpty! Currently playing Bubbles from the CD I made - plays fine on the PC, but my fancy B&O 9300 won't play it, and that's the only other CD player I've got! Will give the CD to Steve's step-Dad on Friday and see how he gets on with it!

Not the first time my B&O has been picky about playing a CD. I've a few proper CD's bought from Tesco that think twice or more before playing - even the Queen triple "best of" set!!

Change the B&O - you have to be able to play Queen:thumb:

Do you have a CD player in the car?

Do you have a CD player in the car?

In both! However, simple way was to email the link to the step-Dad. In the meantime I'll give them the disc I burnt and see if they can play it. Confident we'll win, and Steve will get a suitable send-off. Wonder what the florist will make of a request for a "claret and blue" bouquet!! One local florist will do a club shirt in flowers- for £150!!:eek:

Thanks to all for the help - yet again the forum proves invaluable :thumb::thumb:

Is the crematorium local to you? If it is, why not pop in and ask them if they could test it in their player.

I'm pretty sure that's what the step-dad will do - he's a Kent Highways lighting engineer so is out and about most days - the crematorium is about 45 mins drive from me.

Quick update - the disc I burnt plays quite happily in the single CD radio in my 968, so it looks like the disc is OK, just the B&O being pernickity again!
