My 200 clk (04) is running less well on the mpg front at the moment.

I had a service in January but only do 10-15miles per day so guessing this might have something to do with that?

It was running at around 30/32mpg, worked out by the trip and amount of petrol i was putting in to miles done. Now I think its down to around 25mpg

Its funny but doing only 10-15 miles a day you actually notice the difference in mpg really easily!

It also did a strange little "jolt" last night when I was driving at a low speed (25mph), like I had quickly touched the brake and released it

Any thoughts please?

Also just as a side thing... Even after I had my car serviced, when I first get in the car in the morning, for the first 400 meters the car has always been really slow to pick up, and then its fine after that. Any ideas or a common thing?

Many thanks all

They all hold low gears when cold so can feel sluggish when starting. Mine does about 10 - 15 miles a day and returns 30-32 according to the computer. Up to 38-40 on a long run. I think yours is much younger than ours so ought to be more economical.

I did a longer run over the weekend and got 42mpg. It seems only to be short journeys now that I do daily of around 6miles where I used to get 32mpg and now only 25mpg. Maybe I will try and change the air filter etc?
