My AMG/OZ splits dont fit on my E500....

Thats the guy.
Have just re-put the fronts on and the wheels will not spin.
Caliper is too big and wont let the wheels spin.

May have to go back to the drawing board!

Does the car have uprated calipers?

Look standard to me.
Look like the regular grey aluminium ones with the MB star in the middle.

As the wheels are split rims I would suggest you get them striped down to their componant parts and get them reassembled to the correct offset also if the wheel face is not clearing the calliper this can be corrected when they are rebuilt up.

There are plenty of companies who can do it for you and some will even rebuild them to the car you can buy the inners and outers from Image wheels or the original wheel manufacturer namely OZ if you tell them the correct offset you require and the caliper issue they will send out the correct sized parts to sor them out and get them to fit this would not be to expensive as long as you are holding your breathe at the time they tell you the price hope this is of use

The problem has been solved and the wheels should back and fit pretty much perfect in about a week.

The problem lied with the wheels being put together incorrectly.
The front faces were put on the rears and the rear faces on the fronts!

Which means the fronts will stick out more and fill the arch better and the rears will sit further into the car, more or less eliminating the problems i was having! :bannana:

Make sure whoever is putting them back together torques the bolts to the correct rating.

I was led to beleive that they have to be done exactly , not just spun up with a socket set ( Not saying for a minute that your man would do that , just to make you aware ) ..

Ha Ha !!

I see , Aka$h knows what he's doing :o :D

really good to see you got to the bottom of the issue this also shows how easy things can go a little woky when reassemblin these types of wheel and got the parts mixed up

I put my hands up, I must have done 20 sets off these over the years. When I did these it had been over a year since the last set, and I actually put 2 of them together and throught they were wrong so changed the setup up. It must have been right the first time, doh!

Pupsi, they should be ready towards the end of the week, Ill give you a shout.

Cool dude, just let me know.
