My car's been hit

I went out to the car this morning and switched the lights on as I always do then realised the warning light for a broken bulb was on. I wasn't going to check it there and then, it was cold and early , but I decided to. Walked round the back of the car to find the back light broken, the bumper hanging off and a dent above the back light on the rear quarter.

Even better whoever done it has decided to stay anonymous .

It's been reported to the police, the receptionist was very helpful but the same couldn't be said for the police officer. He wasn't interested.

Anyway, it's down to me to sort it out. My excess would have been more than the repair then you've got the cost of insurance next year. I think the bumper could be salvageable after a some 1500 grit and a good buff but the light is knackered, at least it doesn't show white though.

Another expense. I'd load pictures but I'm due to go away for the weekend.

That's a real bummer. Sorry to hear about it. It might pay to have a good look around your neighbour's cars - just in case you find the perp.

Try not to let it spoil your weekend.

Don't worry, Stella and Jack will cheer me up. I was just praising it so much last night as well.

Funny you should mention checking the other cars, I've seen a Golf with some marks on the front bumper, I don't think they're bad enough for the damage it's caused. It does look like beige paint on it though.

Anything that hits a 140 will usually come of worse, unless it's something larger like a train.

That's a usual link mark, I need a BAS control unit think one out of a breaker will save me a small fortune!

Unfortunately no one saw a thing, or even heard anything. One of the neighbours was up until the back of 1 as well.

Finally I've loaded the pics from my phone Now the bumper has been reattached and a new back light has been ordered. It's not too bad but it's still not how I bought it.

I had a taxi driver reverse smack into the front of my parked Golf a while back. I'm sure he was going to drive away.

Someone reversed into my 190 back in March and tried to make off. I managed to catch them though. My luck is crap.
