My *** Experience

Hi guys, Newbie here

I recently had my SL55 customised by ******* and what a top job! Thanks guys

so what did they do....

They added the EvoSport Kompressor cooling upgrade, phenolic intake manifold spacers, EvoSport shorty headers, their own ***** cross-over pipe, secondary catalyst and centre silencer deletion, K&N filters, Sprint Booster and their own engine control module remap. (Decided if I've travelled that far may as well go the whole hog- much to the displeasure of the wife when the bill arrived!!)

so once the card was out I thought what the heck ....

They also supplied and painted one of their high quality boot lid spoiler. The car now sounds and goes like sh** of a shovel! (this being much to my wifes pleasure when/if she finds the keys!!)

They also had some pretty awesome cars they were upgrading there.. One of them was a brand new GL they were fitting a massive and I mean monsterous body kit and engine upgrades too. Apparently it was a footballers car! - (Dont think they came from my local football team- Forest, sicne there wages would fill the fuel tank!!)

Any way after the work was completed, while I waited they did ask if I wanted to see the crew at work. With it being my pride and joy being made over, yes please!!

I saw the exhaust pipework in Stainless steel and welding which looked pretty neat and tidy.

I suspect they had recently moved into new larger premises, since everything looked brand new and clean - I'd say I would be happy having open heart surgery in there !!much cleaner than some hospitals !!

I just thought I write some good feedback about them as the service was really professional and quality of work was superb.

And would highly recommend them - especially the drive home

I belive the prices were quite reasonable too, though its a completeley differant matter explaining this to the wife !!

Actually, it does look a bit out of place having read some of the others experiance

But honestly couldnt fault them - Totally awesome from beginning to end initial phonecall enquiry, and aftercare call, to make sure everything was ok - (I guess trying to sell me more stuff no doubt!!)

Though, does anyone know of any "good" mercedes specialists in performance in Nottingham as well ?? saves me some petrol money !!

last i heard they operated from a small unit somewhere in watford and they guys that worked there were not particularly pleasant!

I read a small articale with photos in either the Merc enthusiast or EVO magazine about a German meet down at Ace Cafe. The owner of ***** was there with his modded SL 55..........

What a coincidence.

Wowzers,

Just got home and I've never known a merchant review to take up so much space, you guys sound nearly as bad, though not quite as bad as the chaps on the M3 forum!!

All I did there was leave a great review of my experiances with the chaps at Autovogue based round Stafford ways, few months back by the way those guys were truly, truly uber amazing and I would definitly recommend them too !! though to be honest they were also a pretty penny!!

But as soon as I did that same response "there rubbish", "con artists", "dont know what there doing..."

Well as far as i'm concerned those chaps must know what there doing as the business was booming !!

And I guess the same goes to the chaps at **** - if they were both that rubbish I assume they would be out of business!!

It seems as though people dont really want to hear of good experiances these days, just the bad ones, or is it me just being really lucky and meeting these chaps when its not there time of the month !!-LOL

Any way, I feel hesitant to leave any feedback about the nice chap at the local Kwick- Fit who kindly topped up my wifes air con gas for free for fear of being in co-hoots!!-LOL

Further I would love to work for ***** as I belive I would have got a discount !!

Oh, when I get some time this weekend, juggling the kids and going to see the mighty Reds I'll get some pics uploaded - Though if anyone wants a race in Notts round the circuit I'm more than ready now !! WOO HOO as Mike Brewer would say!!

I buy alot of Stuff from ***** there good guys and know what they are doing,
The main lads name is Chet, their prices are ok could be better,
The olny prob i had with them is that they take long to return phone calls!!
