My first CLK Mercedes - advice needed

I picked up a 2005 CLK 270Cdi a/g today.

It only has 25k on it and is vgc. I am very pleased with it even though I did embarrass myself by having to ask how to release the parking brake.

Anyway when looking through the paperwork I discovered that it was registered as new 08/03/05 but the build date is 02/08/04.

How would I know if this is a facelifted model, and if so, what the differences are. I am slightly concerned about the Valeo issue but it is too dark now to go and look.

September 2003 is the much touted build date at which the dodgy Valeo rad was superceded, in which case you should be fine.

Easiest was to spot a facelift is your interior. Pre-facelift below. Post-facelift is a sharper look:

Yeah, the radio is approx 1387% nicer in the facelifted model.
